Sample Resumes and Cover Letter

The best resumes are the ones that are tailored to the job you’re applying for. Look over the job description and make note of the skills and qualifications mentioned. Then as much as possible write a resume that tells the employer HOW you’re a match, or fit for all of those things as much as you can. Here are some sample resumes you can download to help you get started. When you’re done, feel free to send it to us at careers@bju.edu for feedback.
A great cover letter is also written very personally to the employer to connect with them and their needs but also very personally about you to tell a little bit of your story. The sample below provides information about each paragraph for your letter as well as a sample letter, written in business letter format. Use the same heading for your name and contact information on your cover letter that you used on your resume to visually attach the two documents.
