My name is LeAnn Long and I'm currently the Human Resources Director at First Metro Bank, which is a local community bank that's been a bank for about 29 years. I've been blessed to be there for the past 10 years and enjoy everyday that I get up and go to work there. Each and everyday has a lot exciting things going on. And that, I'm looking to hire new employees for the bank. I find that to be exciting to give people the opportunity to come to work with us. I believe we have the best bank in town and so to provide young people, middle aged people, older people the opportunity to come work for us is something I find exhilarating and fun to get up and come to work to do. Also, just the opportunity to get people plugged in in the right positions where there might be promotion into a new position, a position that maybe better fits them and seeing them thrive and grow and be able to do more, make more of a difference, not only for the bank but for themselves as well. Each and everyday I have benefits, would be certainly an important part of what I do, making sure that all of our employees have their benefits and also raises and increases, evaluations, that I'm involved in that process and our employees would say making sure that they get paid. That'd be the most important aspect, making sure that each and every paycheck is exactly right, that it's not too little for some reason or just whatever that might be, but making sure that our employees are compensated as their supposed to be and that they don't have a problem with anything, in dealing with their benefits or their compensation. Not only in my position of Human Resources Director am I looking at our employees and hiring and that type of thing and benefits as I mentioned, but it's also our marketing area as well as our education training of our employees. So those are other areas of responsibility beyond the scope of what most would say would be human resources. So I'm involved in all of our print materials, all of our radio ads, any type of publication that we're doing, as well as the training of the employees. So that's a busy week, typically every week because those things are going on everyday. Some weeks we have four, five events that I'm involved in, being at those events, helping plan those events, but again that's a part of the thrill of my job. Not everyday is the same. Being involved in all the different aspects of the bank, involved with our customers, but also our employees which are my customers. Those are the ones I'm trying to keep happy as well.
